The Banqueting Suite, which will be the site of keynote lectures and sponsor exhibitions, is a breath-taking grand hall, capable of seating up to 600 people. The breakout rooms, used for student presentations, each boast a unique and individual style, and are capable of seating between 60 and 180 people.

Ideally located in the heart of the city, the Newcastle Civic Centre is:

  • Less than 10 minutes walk from both Newcastle and Northumbria University research facilities.
  • A short drive away from most motorway links, a 5 minute drive from Newcastle Central Station, and a 15 minute drive from Newcastle International Airport.
  • Adjacent to the Haymarket Metro station, which provide links to both Newcastle Central Station and the Newcastle International Airport.
  • 5 mins walking distance from the Haymarket and Eldon Square Bus stations, which link to the whole North-East region.

Bus and metro timetables can be found on the Nexus Tyne and Wear website.

There are many hotels located close to the Newcastle Civic Centre, all of which are located within walking distance from shops, bars, restaurants, theatres, art galleries, museums and other historical landmarks that have made Newcastle-upon-Tyne one of the most animated and exciting cities in Europe.
